Our Practice

Our Approach

At Hue, we adopt a humanistic and existential approach to therapy. Our services focus on helping people navigate their internal shades in a place where they are free to explore their emotional needs while sharing their vulnerabilities and experiences.

Our practice is centred on a holistic, strengths-based and transpersonal counselling methodology. This approach aims to support clients in achieving their goals and developing the confidence and insight needed to navigate a current state of being, past experiences and life-changing events.

It involves expanding each individual’s internal resources and equipping them with practical skills and strategies that are designed to address and support their needs.

About Kerime

My name is Kerimé Abay (she/her) and I am the founder of Hue Therapy. For as long as I can remember, I have been drawn to understanding the relationship between thoughts, emotions and behaviours that exist within all of us. I held a special interest in how these manifest during childhood/adolescence and how it shapes our development and the unique formation of the self.

This curiosity led me to complete a Bachelor of Social Science, majoring in Youth Work. I specialised in working with young people, many of whom were from disadvantaged backgrounds and marginalised communities. I then spent six years working for both Government and Non-for-Profit Organisations where I provided forensic therapeutic intervention and case management. This work involved navigating the complexities of the social and judicial systems within Australia, whilst maintaining a person-centred and trauma informed approach. What I found most rewarding was counselling young people and their families to navigate relationship with themselves, others, their communities and natural environment.

Inspired by this work experience, I completed a Masters Degree in Counselling after which I took on a new role as a Family and Relationship Therapist. I’m a registered practitioner in both Australia and Denmark

I wholeheartedly believe helping people cultivate self compassion and a greater connection to self is key to healing and maintaining healthy relationships.

The philosophy and values at the core of Hue Therapy reflect my personal and professional experience and guides my approach to connecting with and supporting individuals.

My name is Andrea Hörandner (she/her), I’m a German/English speaking systemic life coach and psychotherapist committed to helping individuals reshape their realities in line with their personal desires by unlocking the secrets of their unconscious mind.

Drawing on over 12 years as a high school teacher, I transitioned into systemic coaching and counseling to support individuals with tools to navigate life's challenges and guide them through the multifaceted stages of life. Having worked extensively with adolescents, I bring a developmental perspective and holistic approach to my practice.

I am a firm believer in the vital role of self-awareness in creating a deeper connection to oneself for personal evolution and thriving relationships. In my work, I integrate evidence-based methods with contemporary mindfulness and hypnosis techniques to create a safe and encouraging environment for personal growth and individual progress.

My approach aims to assist individuals who are experiencing transitions, seeking to broaden their horizons, or longing for a deeper understanding of their inner self. I am dedicated to offering compassionate support and insightful guidance along your journey of self-discovery and empowerment.

About Mirjana

My name is Mirjana Gavrić, I’m Bosnian born bi-lingual (English) psychotherapist with over a decade of experience. I offers support to individuals, couples, and families through both online and in-person sessions.

I practice from an integrative approach, with a strong emphasis on Gestalt therapy and Schema Therapy. Gestalt therapy focuses on the present moment and encourages self-awareness through experiential techniques. I strive to help clients understand and attend to their current experiences and feelings, fostering a deeper connection with themselves and their emotions.

In addition to Gestalt therapy, I incorporates Schema Therapy to address longstanding patterns and negative beliefs that influence clients' lives. This approach helps clients identify and change deeply entrenched schemas, aiming to heal from deep-seated emotional pain and improve their overall well-being.

Living in Copenhagen as i foreigner, I understands the unique challenges faced by expats and provides specialised support to help them navigate the complexities of living in a foreign country.

I have many years of experience working with trauma and is particularly skilled in supporting clients through their healing journeys. I’m also deeply committed to serving the LGBT community, providing a safe and affirming space for individuals to explore their identities and experiences.

My therapeutic style is characterised by a compassionate and empathetic presence, where I fosters a collaborative and trusting relationship with my clients. Mirjana’s approach is client-centred, allowing individuals to lead the process while providing guidance and insight.

Rooted in a psychodynamic framework, my practice focuses on the therapeutic relationship and the impact of family systems on individual well-being.
